History and Origins of the recent wave of terrorism
History and Origins of the recent wave of terrorism
By Mamnoon Ahmad Khan
Introduction
I remember well as thirty years ago, I did not hear the word terrorism or terrorists. There was a single term in use which is the Israeli aggression the Arabs and the Palestinians. But after Russia (former USSR) invaded Afghanistan, the scenario has changed. Russian brutality were not hidden from the world. They not only destroy this independent country, but they destroy the future generations. In many villages after killing their inhabitants they destroyed the entire village with bulldozers. Even they could not forgive innocent children. Russians dropped bombs for toys in the cities and villages from helicopters and when a child found and began playing with it exploded. After so many Afghan children are dead or become disabled.
Soviet aggression in Afghanistan, the Soviet
In millions of Afghans killed. 1 5 million Afghans have fled into Pakistan and Iran, one third of the prewar population of the country. Another two million Afghans have been displaced inside the country. In the 1980s, one out of two refugees in the world was an Afghan. 2 and deaths were 1.2 million disabled Afghans with the blessing of Russian landmines (mujahideen, government soldiers and noncombatants) and 3 million maimed or wounded (primarily noncombatants) 3.
Irrigation systems, essential to agriculture in arid Afghanistan were destroyed by aerial bombing and strafing by the Soviets or the government forces. In the worst year of the War of 1985, more than half of all farmers who remained in Afghanistan were bombed their fields, and over a quarter had their systems destroyed irrigation and livestock shot by Soviet troops or government, according to a survey conducted by experts from four Swedish aid
The population of the second largest city of Afghanistan, Kandahar, has been reduced from 200,000 before the war to more than 25,000 inhabitants, following a months-long campaign of carpet bombing and bulldozed by the Soviets and the Afghan communist soldiers in 1987. 5 Landmines have killed 25,000 Afghans during the war and another 10 to 15 million landmines planted mostly by Soviet and government forces, were scattered in the countryside to kill and maim. 6 A lot of damage was caused to the civilian population by the children of mine land. A 2005 report estimated 3-4% of the Afghan population has been disabled due to Soviet government and mining. In the city of Quetta a survey of refugee women and children taken shortly after the Soviet withdrawal is over 80% of refugees unregistered children and infant mortality to 31%. Among children who survived, 67% were severely malnourished, malnutrition increases with age 7.
Critics of Soviet and Afghan government forces describe their effects on Afghan culture that work in three stages: first, the center of the Afghan culture customary Islam, has been set aside, on the other hand, modes of Soviet life, especially among youth, have been imported, third, sharing cultural characteristics Afghanistan were destroyed by the emphasis on the nationalities called with the results that the country has been divided into different ethnic groups, language, religion or culture in common 8.
The Geneva Accords of 1988, which eventually led to the withdrawal of Soviet forces in early 1989, has left the Afghan government in ruins. Agreements have failed to address adequately the issue of post-occupation and the future governance of Afghanistan. The assumption among diplomats westernmost, is that the pro-Soviet government in Kabul would soon collapse, but it was not occur for another three years. During this time the Islamic Interim Government of Afghanistan (IIGA) was created in exile. The exclusion of key groups such as Refugees and Shiites, combined with substantial disagreements between the various mujahideen factions, meant that the IIGA never able to act as a functional government 9.
Before the war, Afghanistan was already one of the world's poorest nations. The prolonged conflict left Afghanistan ranked 170 out of 174 in UNDP's Human Development Index, making Afghanistan one of least developed countries in the world 10.
Once the Soviets withdrew, the U.S. interest in Afghanistan has ceased. The United States has decided not to help rebuild the country and instead they delivered the interests of allies of the United States, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. Pakistan quickly took advantage of this opportunity and established relations with the warlords and Taliban later to ensure interest malls and roads. To destroy the trees in the country by forestry practices, which destroyed all but 2% of forest cover at the national level substantial uprooting wild pistachio trees for export of their roots for medicinal purposes, farming of opium, the last ten years have caused a lot of ecological destruction and agricultural 11.
Captain Tarlan Eyvazov, a soldier of Soviet forces during the war, said that the future of Afghan children is for the war. Eyvazov said: "The children born in Afghanistan at the beginning of the war … were reared in conditions of war, is their way of life. "Eyvazov theory was later reinforced when the movement Taliban developed and trained from orphans or refugees who were forced by the Soviets to flee their homes and move life in Pakistan. The rapid rise to power, the young Taliban in 1994, was the result of disorder and civil war that the warlords Running Wild due to the complete collapse of order in Afghanistan after the departure of the Soviets 12.
Israeli Brutality since the Arab-Isreal War 1967
Eyewitnesses by Israeli officers and journalists, the Israeli army – the army who claims to be at a higher moral standard than other armies – executed as many of 1,000 Arab prisoners during the War of 1967.
Historian Gabby Bron wrote in the Yediot Ahronot in Israel that he witnessed the killing of Egyptian prisoners in Israeli soldiers the morning of June 8, 1967, in the Sinai town of El Arish.
Bron reported that he saw about 150 Egyptian prisoners of war held El Arish airport where they were sitting on the floor, close together with their outstretched hands on the backs of their necks. Every few minutes, Bron writes, Israeli soldiers would escort an Egyptian POW from the group at a hearing held by two men in Israeli army uniforms. Then man would be removed, as a cat, and forced to dig his own grave.
I saw that (one) man dug a hole for 15 minutes, Bron writes. Subsequently, the army (Israeli) police officer told him to throw the shovel away, and then one of them leveled an Uzi and he fired two rounds short, each of the three or four balls.
Bron says he witnessed about ten such executions, until the pit was met. Then an Israeli colonel was threatened with a revolver, forcing him to leave the area.
The reality is that Israel has promoted and profited from this war for political reasons though, economic and territorial reasons. To capture these benefits, Israel attacked Syria and the Golan Heights captured in the last days of the war.
Sabra and Shatila Massacre Sep.16, 1982
Today, 27 years later, Israeli aggression against Palestinians continues.
The scars left by the massacres of Sabra and Shatila are indescribable.

On September 16, 1982, members of the Christian Lebanese Phalange militia – with the approval and direct support of then-Israeli Defense Minister Ariel Sharon – Sabra and Shatila has joined and launched an attack 36 hours time, which resulted in the deaths of thousands of unarmed civilians Palestinian and Lebanese.
The journalist Robert Fisk, who was on the scene September 19, 1982, reported seeing the "blackened bodies of babies thrown in piles of garbage beside the U.S. boxes discarded army ration, equipment for the Israeli army and empty bottles of whiskey. "
The children had been shot in the head. Some had their throats cut. Many men had been shot in the back of the head or mutilated by axes. The women had been raped. Pregnant women have fetuses torn from their bodies.
Organization United Nations, which issued a formal declaration of genocide in 1982, also called the Sabra and Shatila massacre, one of the most horrific 20th century.
How many died is not known, but figures vary from 1,000 to at least 3,500, a number estimated by the Israeli journalist Amnon end Kapeliouk.
"The exact figure (Victims) can never be determined because, in addition to some 1,000 people who were buried in mass graves by the International Committee of the Red Cross or in the cemeteries of Beirut by members of their families, many bodies were buried under buildings bulldozed by the members of the militia themselves, "writes Dr. Laurie King-Irani, assistant professor of anthropology at the Center for Contemporary Arab at Georgetown University. "In addition, especially 17 and 18 September, hundreds of people were swept into trucks to unknown destinations life, never to return. "
Dr. King-Irani has also been the North American Coordinator International Campaign for Justice for the victims of Sabra and Shatila, which hosted the indictsharon.net website.
Yet the authors of the massacre were never been brought to justice. An internal inquiry has called the Israeli Kahan Commission – What is political and not judicial – to be found Sharon indirectly but personally liable. He resigned as defense minister but retained a firm position in the government. He was Prime Minister from 2001 2006. A case which was filed in November 2001 on behalf of some survivors against Sharon and others to commit war crimes under the Belgian universal jurisdiction law was later rejected by a Belgian court appeals.
Sharon told the Knesset that the decision to send the Phalange had been made at 3:30 pm Sept. 15. The Israeli command received instructions that the "cleaning of the camps will be conducted by Phalanges or the Lebanese army, "Dr. King-Irani wrote, citing the Kahan Commission Report, p. 125.
Today, 27 years later, aggression Israel against the Palestinians continues. Operation Lead Cast in December and January more than 1,400 Palestinians killed in Gaza and wounded more than 5,300. pursuit the seat of Israel urged the 1.5 million people there are in a crisis inhuman and unthinkable.
All Muslims of the world should honor victims and survivors of Sabra and Shatila in keeping their memory. When their voices have been silenced, we must make our voices heard loudly and call to end the brutal occupation of Palestine and the right of refugees to return to their homeland.
The massacre of Jenin April 2002
A monstrous war crime that Israel has tried to cover a fortnight has finally been exposed. His troops have devastated in the center of Jenin refugee camp, reached yesterday by The Independent, where thousands of people continue to live among the ruins.
Neighborhood approximately 160,000 residential square feet third of a mile wide has been reduced to dust. Rubble was excavator bulldozer by 30ft piles. The sweet and terrible smell of rotting human bodies is everywhere, evidence that this is a tomb of man. The people who spent several days hiding in basements crowded into single rooms as the rockets pounded, say there are hundreds of corpses buried under the dust, in a field debris, criss-crossed tank and bulldozer treadmarks.
In a building near a half-wrecked, ravaged by fire, is the body fly-blown from a man in a tartan rug. In another we found the remains of 23-year-old Ashraf Abu Hejar under the ruins of a fire blackened room that collapsed on him after being hit by a rocket. His head is shrunken and blackened. In a third, five men died from time was under the covers.
Calm. sad-looking young man called Kamal Anis led us across the wasteland, littered with trash Now what were once households, foam rubber, torn clothes, shoes, canned food, toys for children. All Suddenly he stopped. It was a mass grave, he said, pointing.
We looked at a mound of debris. Here, he says, he saw the Israeli soldiers pile 30 bodies in a house half-destroyed. When the battery is complete, they bulldozed the building, bringing its ruins down cadavers. Then they flattened the area with a tank. We could not see the bodies. But we could smell them.
A few days ago, we would not believe Kamal Anis. But the descriptions given by many other refugees who escaped from Jenin camp were understated, not, as many have feared and Israel encouraged us to believe, exaggerations. Their stories had not prepared for this I saw yesterday. I believe now.
Until two weeks ago, there were hundreds of well-packed homes in this area called al-Hanat Hawashim. They no longer exist.
Around the central ruins, there are hundreds of half-wrecked homes. Much of the camp – once home to 15,000 Palestinian refugees from the 1948 war – is falling down. Every wall is speckled and torn with bullet holes and shrapnel, the testimony of the incredible firepower randomly Cobra and Apache helicopters which hovered over the camp.
Building after building has been torn apart, their contents and cheap furnishings false, mattresses, white plastic chairs spewed out into the road. Every other building is the giant, charred, brand impact of a helicopter missile. Last night there were still many families and crying children who still live in the middle ruins, cut off from humanitarian aid. Ominously, we found no injuries, but there was a report of a man to be saved from beneath the ruins only an hour before our arrival.
Those who did not flee the camp, or not held by the army, spent the bombing in basements, enduring day after day of terror. Some were forced into rooms by the soldiers, who smashed their way into homes through walls. The UN says half of 15,000 inhabitants of the camp were under 18. As the evening hush fell over these killing fields, we could suddenly hear the children chattering. The mosque, once so noisy at prayer time, were silent.
Israel has always tried to conceal these scenes of yesterday. He was refused entry to ambulances Red Cross for nearly a week, in violation of the Geneva Convention. Yesterday, he continued to try to keep us away.
Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank, remained a closed military zone, has been ringed Merkava tanks, the army jeep patrols, and armored vehicles. Reporters caught trying to get in were escorted out. A day earlier Israeli forces have taken a few selected journalists to see the disinfected parts of the camp. We have just crossed the fields, passed through an olive orchard overlooked by two Israeli tanks, and the camp itself.
We have been forced to make hand gestures to the windows. Invisible, and whisper directed through the narrow alleys they thought were clear. When there were soldiers about, a finger raised in warning, or a hand-we waved back. We were welcomed by people desperate to tell what had happened. They spoke executions, and bulldozers destroying the houses with people inside. This is mass murder committed by Ariel Sharon, Jamel Saleh, 43, said. We feel more hate for Israel than ever. Look at this boy. He put his hand on the shaggy head of a small boy, Mohammed, the son of eight years of a friend. He saw all this evil. He will remember it all. So is everybody who saw the horror of the refugee camp Jenin. Palestinians who entered the camp yesterday were almost speechless.
Rajib Ahmed of the Palestinian Energy Authority Authority, has come to try to repair power lines. He trembled with rage and shock. This is mass murder. I came here to help by I found nothing but devastation. Just look for yourself. All had the same message: tell the world.
Recent Israeli aggression in Gaza
Israel committed a massacre unprecedented barbaric Palestinians to civil defense Gaza.
Israel's intention seems to have been not only the destruction of certain areas in the Gaza Strip, but the annihilation the Gaza Strip and the burial of its people under mounds of rubble and lakes of blood.
The time chosen by Israel to launch its aggression rises concern among Arabs.
Worldwide concerns about the serious financial crisis, the transition to House White and Hamas statement by the end of its truce with Israel without Palestinian or Arab support, which can put an end to the hostile intentions of Israel, trigger any concern that Israel is preparing for the worst to terrorize the entire Arab region.
Israel launched its aggression against Saturday, December 27, 2008 in three stages:
First step: aerial bombardment from December 27, 2008 to January 2 2009.
Second step: ground attack from 3 to 10 January 2009.
Third stage: departure January 10 with advance within major cities, occupying the territories more and create a buffer zone along the borders of band, which ended Jan. 18.
During the three stages, more than 1,300 people were killed and over 5,300 injured, more than half are women, children and elderly.
Blaming the victim, not the aggressor
Minister of Foreign Affairs U.S., Condoleezza Rice blamed Hamas for the violence. The Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon could not express "deep alarm", and where Barack Obama has been? An AP photo showed him on holiday "work out" Semper Fit Center at the Marine Corp Base Hawaii in Kailua, Hawaii, Saturday and CBS News said it was "closely monitoring global developments, including the situation in Gaza, but there is a president some time, "Brooke Anderson, the chief spokesman of national security.
On July 1, 2008 interview, the New York Times asked whether Israel Obama should negotiate with Hamas in Gaza. He replied: "I do not think any country would find it acceptable to have missiles raining on the heads of their citizens …. I would expect Israelis to do (everything they can to prevent them )…. In terms of negotiating with Hamas, it is very difficult to negotiate with a group that is not representative of a nation state, does not recognize your right to exist, (and) has always used terror as a weapon. Hamas is a terrorist organization …. it is difficult for Israel to negotiate with a country like that. "
Hamas has been democratically elected. It is the legitimate Palestinian government. It is known erroneously as a terrorist organization, and he is perfectly the right to resist an illegal occupation under international law. He observed a unilateral truce for months and extended peace overtures to numerous occasions in the past. Israel has repelled by dividing the Gaza Strip and West Bank, the cooptation Mamoud Abbas of Fatah against Hamas incitement, to isolate the Gaza Strip and pursuing a policy of aggression, killings, targeted assassinations, and mass detentions, and torture with full support from Washington, the West, and (from his comments above) the new Obama administration.
The UN refugee work Relief Agency (UNRWA), head of operations for Palestinian Refugees, John Ging, expressed outrage over what happens. Previously, he said: Gazans nothing month cease-fire. There is no restoration "of a dignified existence. We had our finite supply (during period) to the point where we stayed in a very vulnerable and precarious, "with very little food left until it is exhausted.
The Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) campaigns for justice in the Palestinian areas of civil, political and human rights by International. With the return of Palestine Centre (PRC), the Forum of Britain Palestinian (PFB), the British Muslim Initiative (BMI), stop the war, Friends of Al Aqsa Mosque, the Muslim Association of Britain (MAB), and respect, the Islamic Commission of Human Rights, she organized protests emergency in front of Israeli Embassy in London on December 28 and 29 to demand the end of the siege of Gaza and the ongoing aggression. The urgency has been Obviously, saying Israel cynicism (East) supported by the complicity of the West, "as he called for public solidarity to end.
For his part, Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni instructed the department to "take emergency measures (to) open an aggressive international diplomatic and public relations campaign, "according to Haaretz. In other words, Israel's spin attack in the state without good reason self-defense and to obtain dominant media helps sell it.
On December 27, The New York Times took the lead. He said that "the Israeli air strikes hit Hamas security installations in Gaza on Saturday, crushing a response to rocket group …. Israeli military officials (called the attack) to force Hamas to stop its rocket attacks on southern Israel. Thousands of Israelis rushed to shelters amid the hail of rockets, "which seems like Israel like in London during the Blitz, when in fact the attacks of Hamas are mere pinpricks and only answer to the first strike by Israeli attacks.
The Times and the mainstream media are silent on the subject. They continue to spread lies about the Hamas to be false "officially committed to the destruction Israel, and when he won the Palestinian legislative elections in 2006, then "forcibly" seized power in Gaza in 2007, he said he would not recognize Israel, honor previous Palestinian commitments Authority him, or end violence against Israelis. "
All of the above is false. The Times continues to report false. Hamas wants peace, has been repeatedly conciliation, and his founder, Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, said earlier that armed struggle would end "if the Zionists ended (their) occupation of Palestinian territories and stopped killing Palestinian women, children and innocent civilians. "
Israel rejected all overtures. More recently, Hamas has offered peace and recognition Israel in exchange for a Palestinian state within 1967 borders – the occupied territories it is right under international law.
As early as 1988, the PLO under Yasser Arafat has accepted a two-state solution with Palestinians ready to be content with only 22% of their pre-1948 home – a generous offer, if accepted, would have had two sovereign states living in peace side by side as neighbors.
Israel rejects this hand. He chose a dominant position on peace, violence over reconciliation, and conquest deck above the rule of law. This colonization of the West Bank, the ethnic cleansing of the population, and continues to terrorize the Gaza Strip. "The newspaper of record "is selective about" fit to print news, if uncomfortable truths are deleted. He reported that one Israeli was killed Saturday and four others injured, one seriously, but did not explain that the attacks Previous rocket caused no deaths or injuries.
After several months of siege aggravated by the ongoing attacks, the band Gaza is severely affected, but also the West Bank. Under the government of Fatah rockets are launched, but Israel maintains a brutal occupation continues to confiscate Palestinian land, to expand its illegal settlements, and allows its residents to terrorize Palestinians with impunity, even in instances of wanton killings and destruction of property.
supports the administration of U.S. Israeli aggression cons Gaza
On December 31, Associated Press reported that the Security Council held an emergency meeting on Arab demand for a legally binding and enforceable resolution of the UN that would condemn Israel and to try to force the Zionist state to stop its attacks military on Gaza.
The draft resolution also called for the immediate protection of Palestinian civilians in Gaza and open crossings border humanitarian aid.
But the project, which was presented by Libya on behalf of 22 members of the Arab League, was immediately rejected by the United States as "unbalanced". Despite the veto of the United States, Riyad Mansour, the Palestinian observer UN, told The Associated Press that the Arab nations to work "day and night" to get Security Council approval a binding resolution in the terms announced.
As with the 2006 war in Lebanon, the government of President George W. Bush has strongly supported the Israeli attack on Gaza. From the White House, Gordon Johndroe, spokesman of Hamas has even called "nothing more than thugs." In addition, The U.S. administration has worked to block any diplomatic proposals cease-fire to give Israel the green light to increase its attacks Gaza.
While the Israeli fighters, warships and artillery continued to destroy civilian buildings, bridges and mosques, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice did not hesitate to blame Hamas for the Israeli aggression and showed support of the United States for the Israeli rejection of the ceasefire initiatives of the European Union and several Arab capitals.
Washington and Israel did not accept the victory of Hamas in legislative elections in 2006.
In June 2007, they advocate a coup to overthrow the government of national unity that Fatah and Hamas had established during their negotiations in Jeddah. The coup failed and therefore, the administration Bush supported the Israeli siege of Gaza, which has often prevented 1.5 million Palestinians receive food, fuel, medicines and so on.
The purpose of this blockade is to make the life of the people of Gaza so intolerable that the Hamas government will fall.
United States not only the protection of Israel in diplomatic terms, but it also gave Israel the weapons that were used against Palestinians, including GBU-39 missile – a new bunker-busting weapon.
Israel has received 1,000 such missiles in early December in addition to 3 billion dollars per year in U.S. military aid, including F-16 Fighters and Apache helicopters and fuel and spare parts needed to keep in operation.
The Israeli attacks have killed hundreds of Palestinians (scores of children), while the U.S. administration continues to insist that Hamas was "responsible" for the fighting.
U.S. President Barack Obama Senior Adviser David Axelrod repeated the same lies that President George W. Bush: that Hamas was the first to break the ceasefire agreement. Speaker of the House of Representatives American Nancy Pelosi agreed. It issued a statement regarding the Israeli aggression on Gaza in which she writes: "When Israel is attacked, the U.S. must continue to vigorously defend his friend and democratic ally. "
On the night of November 4 the day of the American election, Israel fired missiles into Gaza. He then continued to shell Gaza over the next six weeks, killing dozens of Palestinians. "The escalation toward war could and should have been avoided. It was the State of Israel who broke the Truce in the raid of the tunnel … two months ago, "the Israeli peace group Gush Shalom wrote in a press release.
Army continued its raids and killings calculated. The truth is that the massacre of Palestinians in Gaza is a crime against humanity whose responsibility not Only the Israeli government but also one is the entire U.S..
In fact, for the United States to support and be complicit in war crimes Israel is serving a purpose much more strategic. What he is doing is creating a "New order" in the Middle East, which will continue the U.S. dominance in the region and control over its oil resources.
Small Israel is a partner in this effort but blood. The U.S. wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, threats against Iran and Syria and the Israeli war against Lebanon in 2006 are part of the application of U.S. doctrine of Israeli domination and divide the Arab and Muslim world.
In spite of all the support Military and diplomatic officials of the Administration of the United States fear a possible failure of Israel similar to what has happened in Lebanon in 2006 and urged Israel to set a timetable and exit strategy, foreign diplomats told the Los Angeles Times.
"U.S. officials fear that the campaign could drag on without destroying Hamas, and might even increase support for group of militants – as well as the Israeli campaign in Lebanon to reinforce Hezbollah. You do not hear that you've trusted the army in 2006 Israel can impose a new strategic reality, "said an Arab diplomat in Washington.
According to many observers, The war would weaken the Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and strengthen its rival Hamas, although Israel will continue its invasion of Gaza.
The fighting has also ruined the reputation already damaged pro-American regimes in Egypt and Jordan, both of which have diplomatic relations with Israel and are considered by the Arab people as corrupt and complicit in the Israeli aggression. The stability of these schemes is seriously threatened.
Some observers believe that Israel wanted to create an international crisis at a time when Obama was about to become the president United States, to assess the new government of Obama sensitivities to the killing of Palestinians.
Israel wanted to determine Obama's policies before they are decided upon by his administration to make it complicit in his crimes against the Palestinians.
presentation Obama in Israel has been questioned by the Israeli media. In March 2007 Barack Obama at a small meeting of democracy activists in Iowa: "Nobody is suffering more than the Palestinian people. "The comment made headlines and earned him the indignation of the pro-Israel groups.
As a candidate in the recent presidential election, Barack Obama changed his tone and said that Israel had the "right" to full sovereignty over the entire Al-Quds (Jerusalem), a position which ensures that there will be no lasting peace in the region, Arabs and Muslims will never renounce their legitimate rights to the city.
Obama right man, Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, who is a Zionist fanatic worked for the Israeli army during the 1991 [Persian] Gulf War.
However, these measures have been considered as a way to avoid criticism from the influential pro-Israel lobby in Washington, which has deeply infiltrated the Republicans U.S. and democratic parties.
Obama's first reaction to the massacre in Gaza was "no comment". This has led many people beginning to wonder if his self-declared principles of safety and dignity are also going to be applied to the Palestinian people.
There is no doubt that the United States will pay a high price for its support of the Israeli state terrorism.
Many demonstrators around the world burning American flags and show their total rejection of U.S. policy to promote the Zionist terror.
Although common U.S. media are under Zionist control or moral, continue to falsify the reality regarding the extent of Israeli aggression and occupation, the Internet and satellite channels in the Muslim world offer a professional coverage of developments in Palestine.
support Washington DC for the Israeli crimes will lead any effort to recover its credibility destroyed in the Muslim and Arab world to fail.
How the CIA created the Taliban and Osama bin Laden
Is this a call for jihad (holy war) of taking Osama bin Laden fatwas notorious Islamic fundamentalists? Or perhaps a communique issued by the repressive Taliban regime in Kabul?
In fact, this praise of the murderous exploits of ardent supporters of Bin Laden now arch-terrorist and his associates of the Taliban and their war holy against the evil empire ", was issued by U.S. President Ronald Reagan, March 8, 1985. The Evil Empire "was the Union Soviet and Third World movements, to fight US-backed colonialism, apartheid and dictatorship.
How things change. In Following a series of terrorist atrocities – the most despicable is the mass murder of over 6000 people working in New York and Washington on September 11 – bin Laden the freedom fighter "is now lambasted by U.S. leaders and Western media as a" terrorist mastermind "And a" bad ".
Yet the U.S. government refuses to admit its central role in creating the vicious movement that spawned bin Laden, the Taliban and Islamic fundamentalist terrorists that plague Algeria and Egypt – and perhaps the disaster that has hit New York.
The media has also downplayed the origins of bin Laden and his toxic brand of Islamic fundamentalism.
Mujaheddeen
In April 1978, the People's Democratic Party of Afghanistan (PDPA) seized power in Afghanistan in response to a wave of repression against the party by the repressive government of the country.
The PDPA was committed to a radical land reform that favored the peasants, trade union rights, expansion of education and social services, equality for women and the separation of church and state. The PDPA also supported strengthening Afghanistan's relations with the Soviet Union.
These policies angry rich landowners semi-feudal, the Muslim religious establishment (many mullahs were also big landlords) and tribal leaders. They immediately began to organize resistance to the government's progressive policies, under the guise of defending Islam.
Washington, fearing the spread of influence Soviet (and worst government radically new example of) to its allies in Pakistan, Iran and the Gulf states, immediately offered support for the Afghan mujahideen, as the cons "force was known.
Following an internal PDPA power struggle in December 1979 ousted leader of Afghanistan, thousands of Soviet soldiers entered the country to prevent the new government in the fall. What galvanized the disparate fundamentalist factions. Their reactionary jihad now gained legitimacy as a national liberation "the struggle in the eyes of many Afghans.
The Soviet Union eventually withdrew from Afghanistan in 1989 and the mujaheddin captured the capital, Kabul in 1992.
Between 1978 and 1992, the U.S. government pays at least $ 6 billion (some estimates range up to $ 20 billion) worth of weapons, training and funds to support the mujahideen factions. Other Western governments, as well as oil-rich Saudi Arabia, began in that again. Rich Arab fanatics, like Osama bin Laden, provided millions more.
Washington policy in Afghanistan has been shaped by the advisor of U.S. President Jimmy Carter's national security Zbigniew Brzezinski, and was continued by his successors. His plan goes far beyond the mere force Soviet troops to withdraw, but rather to foster an international movement to spread religious fanaticism in the Muslim republics of Soviet Central Asia aimed at destabilizing the Soviet Union.
Brzezinski's grand plan coincided with Pakistan military dictator own ambitions of General Zia ul-Haq to dominate the region. United States run Radio Liberty and Radio Free Europe beamed Islamic fundamentalist tirades across Central Asia (while paradoxically denouncing the "Islamic revolution" that toppled pro-American Shah of Iran in 1979).
Washington favored mujahidin faction was one of the most extreme led by Gulbuddin Hekmatyar. The disgust of the West for terrorism does not apply to this freedom fighter "doubtful". Hekmatyar has been prominent in the 1970s for throwing acid in the faces of women who refused to wear the veil.
After the Mujahideen captured Kabul in 1992, Hekmatyar's forces rained in the United States supplied missiles and rockets into the city – killing at least 2000 civilians – until the new government agreed to give him the post of prime minister. Osama bin Laden was a close associate of Hekmatyar and his faction.
Hekmatyar was also infamous for his business side in cultivation and trafficking of opium. Saving the mujahideen of the CIA coincided with a boom in trade drugs. Within two years, the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan was alone in the world's largest source of heroin, supplying 60% drug users in the United States.
In 1995, the former chief operating officer of the CIA in Afghanistan was unrepentant about the explosion traffic in drugs: "Our main mission was to do as much damage as possible to the Soviets … There was a decline in terms of drugs, Yes. But the main objective has been accomplished. The Soviets left Afghanistan. "
Made in the USA
According to Ahmed Rashid, a correspondent for the Far Eastern Economic Review in 1986, CIA chief William Casey committed CIA support to a long time ISI proposal to recruit the world to join the Afghan jihad. At least 100,000 Islamic militants flocked to Pakistan between 1982 and 1992 (about 60,000 attended fundamentalist schools in Pakistan without necessarily taking part in the fighting).
John Cooley, a former journalist with the ABC television U.S. and author of The Holy War: Afghanistan, America and International Terrorism, has revealed that Muslims recruited in the U.S. for the mujaheddin were sent to Camp Peary, the CIA's spy training camp in Virginia, where young Afghans, Arabs powers Egypt and Jordan, and even some African-American "black Muslims" were taught "sabotage".
The November 1, 1998, British Independent reported that one of those responsible for the attack in 1998 against the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, Ali Mohammed, had trained "bin Laden cooperatives" in 1989.
These agents "were recruited Al Kifah Center Refugee in Brooklyn, New York, a paramilitary training in the New York area, then sent to Afghanistan with the help of the United States to join forces Hekmatyar. Mohammed was a member of the elite U.S. Army berets Green.
The program, reported the Independent, was part of a plan approved by Washington has called "Operation Cyclone".
In Pakistan, recruits, money and equipment were distributed to the mujahideen factions by an organization known as Maktab al Khidamar (Office of Services – MAK).
MAK was cover for the CIA in Pakistan Inter-Service Intelligence Directorate. The ISI was the first recipient of the vast majority of CIA and Saudi Arabian covert assistance to the Afghan contras. Bin Laden was one of three people who ran MAK. In 1989, he took overall charge of MAK.
Among those trained by Mohammed were El Sayyid Nosairis, who was jailed in 1995 for the murder of Rabbi Meir Kahane, Israeli right and conspire with others bomb New York landmarks, including the World Trade Center in 1993.
The Independent also suggested that Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman, Egyptian religious leader also jailed for the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center, also part of Operation Cyclone. There is entered the United States in 1990 with the approval of the CIA. A confidential CIA report concluded that the Agency was "partly culpable" for the explosion World Trade Center in 1993, the British daily.
Bin Laden
Osama bin Laden, one of 20 the son of a billionaire construction magnate, arrived in Afghanistan to join the jihad in 1980. Fanatic austere religious and businessman, bin Laden specializes in the recruitment, financing and training of some 35,000 non-Afghan mercenaries who joined mujahideen.
The Bin Laden family is an important pillar of the Saudi ruling class, with close personal, financial and political this country of the royal family, pro-American.
Bin Laden senior was appointed Saudi Arabia Minister of Public Works as a favor by King Faisal. New Minister awarded contracts to his own lucrative construction company to rebuild Islam's holiest mosques in Mecca and Medina. In the process, Bin Laden family business in 1966 became the world's largest company of private construction.
Osama bin Laden's father died in 1968. Until 1994, he had access to dividends from this ill-gotten business empire.
(Often cited Junior bin Laden's personal fortune of U.S. $ 200 300 million has been set by the U.S. State Department by dividing today's value of the bin Laden family net worth – estimated at 5 billion dollars – by the number of bin Laden's eldest son. A fact rarely mentioned that in 1994 the family disowned Osama bin Laden and took control his part.)
Osama adventures and military affairs in Afghanistan had the blessing of the bin Laden dynasty and the reactionary Saudi regime. His close working relationship with MAK also meant that the CIA was fully aware of his activities.
Milt Bearden, chief of station the CIA in Pakistan from 1986 to 1989, admitted to the January 24 May 2000, New Yorker, even if he never personally met bin Laden, "this I knew he was there? Yes, I do … Guys [like] bin Laden were down $ 20 – $ 25 million per month from other Saudis and Gulf Arabs to underwrite the war. And it's a lot of money. It's an extra $ 200 – $ 300 million per year. And this that bin Laden did. "
In 1986, bin Laden has heavy construction equipment from Saudi Arabia to Afghanistan. Thanks to his knowledge detailed construction techniques (he has a degree in civil engineering), he built training camps ", some dug deep in the sides of mountains, and built roads to reach them.
These camps, now dubbed "terrorist universities" by Washington, have was built in collaboration with the ISI and the CIA. The Afghan fighters cons, including tens of thousands of mercenaries recruited and paid by bin Laden, have been armed by the CIA. Pakistan, the United States and Great Britain provided military trainers.
Tom Carew, a former British soldier who secretly SAS fought for the Mujahideen said August 13, 2000, British Observer, "The Americans were eager to teach Afghans the techniques of terrorism City – suicide car and so on – so they can beat the Russians in large cities … Many they are now using their knowledge and expertise to make war on everything they hate. "
Al-Qaeda (the Base), the organization Bin Laden was created in 1987-88 to manage the camps and other businesses. It is a well-run capitalist holding company – but integrates the operations of a mercenary force and related logistics services with "legitimate business".
Bin Laden has simply continued to do the job he was asked to do in Afghanistan during the 1980s – fund, feed and train mercenaries. Everything that changed is its main customer. Then it was the ISI and, behind the scenes, the CIA. Today, its services are used primarily by the reactionary regime Taliban.
Bin Laden only became a "terrorist" in U.S. eyes when he fell out with the Saudi royal family over its decision to allow more than 540,000 U.S. troops stationed on Saudi soil after the invasion of Kuwait.
When Thousands of U.S. troops remained in Saudi Arabia after the Gulf War, bin Laden's anger turned to outright opposition. He said Saudi Arabia and other regimes – like Egypt – the Middle East were puppets of the United States, as the government PDPA in Afghanistan had been a puppet of the Soviet Union.
He called for the overthrow of these client regimes and declared it is the duty of all Muslims to drive the United States on the Gulf States. In 1994, he was stripped of his Saudi citizenship and forced to leave the country. Its assets have been frozen there.
After a period in Sudan, he returned to Afghanistan in May 1996. He renovated the camps he had helped build during the Afghan war and offered the facilities and services – and thousands of his mercenaries – the Taliban, who took power that September.
Today, bin Laden's private army of non-Afghan religious fanatics is an essential accessory of the Taliban regime.
Before the devastating September 11 attack on the twin towers of the World Trade Center, the U.S. ruling class figures remained unrepentant about the consequences of their dirty deals with people like Bin Laden, Hekmatyar and the Taliban. Since the terrible attack, they were hypocritical.
In an August 28, 1998, the report on MSNBC, Michael Moran quotes Senator Orrin Hatch, who was a prominent member of the Senate Intelligence Committee that approved U.S. relations with the mujahideen, as saying he would do "the same call again", knowing what that bin Laden would become.
"It was worth it. Those are very important issues that have played a key role in the downfall of the Union Soviet. "
Hatch is now one of the toughest votes Gung-ho military retaliation.
Another face that is appeared repeatedly on television screens since the attack has been Vincent Cannistrano, described as a former CIA chief of "operations terrorism.
Cannistrano is certainly an expert on terrorists like bin Laden, because he directed their "work". He was in charge of the contras Nicaraguan supported by the CIA during the 1980s. In 1984, he became the supervisor of covert aid to the Afghan mujahideen for the Council national security of the United States.
The last word goes to Zbigniew Brzezinski: "What was most important in the worldview of history? The Taliban or the collapse of the Soviet empire? A few stirred up Muslims or the liberation of Central Europe and the end of the Cold War? "
Conclusion
a moment's reflection would show that any invasion, which replaced the Taliban with a puppet of the West Kabul would merely restore the Taliban as champions of Afghan sovereignty. The Americans sponsored them to be just like a puppet in the years 1980, funding about 60,000 foreign mercenaries to join them against the Russians. Intervention reaps what he sows.
Americans will not admit their mistakes, but this is only the technical specifications [now Americans] have made the Taliban look like child illegitimate. It was Pakistan's ISI with the blessing of the CIA, who brainwashed Taliban when they were small children living in tents in the North West Frontier Province (NWFP) of Pakistan, near Afghanistan. They have learned to hate Russians. They learned to fight, and they did not teach else. Then, they were just kids growing up in Pakistan. And it is they who have made very religious and it is they who have made the terrorists. They are for teach them to kill people and they do not teach them anything.
Now America is brutally killed herself because of Taliban without mercy because they are not living things. The killings of Taliban compound and a large number of Pakistani and Afghan civilians.
America spread the circle of its drone attacks in Pakistan Administered Tribal Areas in doubt hideouts of the Taliban. Resulting in heavy losses of civilian lives up women and innocent children, so little or no causalities Taliban. The other members of these unfortunate families fire of revenge on their heart became suicide bombers. These floats commonly called suicide terrorists, the attack Pakistani forces and civilians causing heavy human and material losses. Pakistan to pay an unbearable price for killing his own people (American Taliban is) in the so-called war against terrorism. America has invested in terrorism the form of Taliban in Afghanistan and Pakistan, in an effort to defeat Russia. But that genie from Aladdin (the Taliban) is out of the bottle while the U.S. forces and Pakistan are not capable enough to put this genie back in the lamp. If the military operations against the Taliban has managed to restore order in the region is not sustainable. The dialogue and a policy of tolerance is the only way to win the hearts of these Pukhtoons, if history has shown they are born fighters and military power is not able to control them. In light of all the historical facts I come to the conclusion that Israel, Russia and America are also behind the recent wave of terrorism that has taken most of the Middle East, Pakistan and Afghanistan. If America policy makers do not react in time, then these acts of terrorism can occur anywhere in the world!
